red headed and sweet. wild curly hair.

What I wore today. My silk blouse is from J.Crew, Chambray Shorts are I heart Ronson, Shoes are Ralph Lauren. Coral is probably my favorite color at the moment. Today is a happy day. A very happy day. Miniature Tigers released their new album 'FORTRESS'. I have been patiently waiting for it even more after I heard that Chris Chu produced the album. I bought it in the wee-hours of this morning. I am so happy! I love it. It's easily one of my favorite albums of the year so far. Buy it. You won't regret it.

I hope you're all enjoying your summer. I sure am :D And it's going to get better really soon when I go to Chicago(August 4th-11th)! John is amazing and got tickets for us to see Toro Y Moi/Phoenix and then The Morning Benders/The Black Keys. I'm pretty excited.

forget me not.

Life is pretty great right now. I'm keeping busy, very busy (which is good). I'm distracting myself from the stressful thoughts of the fall. Every thing is changing, but for the better.

it's a small world

One of the sweetest gifts I have ever received! A charm bracelet from the '64 Worlds Fair in NYC. The 'It's a Small World' attraction was made for the Worlds Fair and then it was moved to Disneyland. I adore it and have been wearing it every single day. I'm just nuts about any thing Mary Blair.

nature girl.

Heaven on Earth. For the past couple of days, I was at Ross Lake Resort(WA) in the North Cascades National Park. The lake is actually a dammed up river(Skagit River). The dam generates power for Seattle City Light. All of the cabins are built on floating docks. Many of the float logs supporting the docks and buildings are old-growth red cedar used in the original floating camp( for workers building the dam) that became the resort nearly 60 years ago. Some of these are more than 3 ft. in diameter and hundreds of years old! Getting there can be quite the challenge. A long drive, a decent hike down the mountain side(beautiful) and then a boat ride across(there's also a ferry that costs a lot to take. I opted for the hike). So only bring what you can carry! It's not accessible by road. It was so lovely to be in complete isolation for a few days. I got a lot of reading done :)

I love where I live

Photos from my most recent adventure at the beach. I really am incredibly spoiled living so close to the water. I absolutely love living here. Minnie loves the water, although it looks as if she doesn't. I hope you're all enjoying Summer and are staying cool. Sheesh, it's been so hot!
